All transactions on your credit card statement will appear as "BREEDADOG" .

Q. I am concerned that Breedadog.com could be a resource for puppy farmers to prosper. What is Breedadog.com's stance on puppy farming and how do you plan to keep your site free from it?

A. Breedadog.com is 100% against puppy farming. So much so that we have developed sophisticated routines that notify our customer service team the moment a suspected puppy farmer has registered on our site. As per our terms and conditions, we have the right to terminate any membership to the site immediately and remove associated dog and litter profiles without prior notification. If it is determined that a puppy farmer is operating on this site, we will exercise this right without hesitation. No refunds will be given under any circumstance.

Q. I have uploaded a photo of my dog but it has not yet appeared on his profile? Why not?

A. There is a delay between uploading a photo of one's dog/litter due to the fact that our customer service team manually authorise each photo prior to it being shown against a profile. This is to ensure that the overall quality of our site remains of the highest standard.

Q. Why will my dog's photo not upload to your site?

A. The most common reason why your photo will not upload correctly is that the size of your photo is too big. Please ensure that all photos are a maximum size of 256Kb and are in JPEG format (.jpg extension) before uploading. Any common photo editing application will offer a feature which enables users to re-size photo images. Please note that Breedadog.com will not re-size your photo for you.

Q. I no longer wish for my stud dog's profile to be viewed online. How do I remove it?

A. Login to Breedadog.com and edit your dog's profile. At the foot of the edit profile page you will notice a checkbox with "This dog is available for stud?next to it. Un-check this box and click on "Save dog details? This will effectively hide your dog from view across the site. You may change this back at anytime.

Q. When performing a search for my own dog through your site, I noticed he is always on the last page of search results. Why is this?

A. Dogs that have 100% completed online pedigrees will always appear higher in a search than those that don't. Please complete your dog's pedigree to place higher in searches for that particular breed.

Q. I have registered a litter on Breedadog.com and have subsequently entered a profile of their mother which has automatically pre-filled one half of the litter's pedigree. The litter's sire is already registered on Breedadog.com. Does that mean that if I select the sire from the available list on the litter's profile, it will take into account the sire's pedigree also and automatically pre-fill the other half of the litter's pedigree?

A. Yes. Pedigree information for litters is automatically updated from both the mother's pedigree and the fathers, assuming the father is already registered on Breedadog.com. If you select a sire as the father of your litter, then an email is automatically sent to the owner of that dog asking them to confirm if they wish to be named as the sire of the litter. Once they confirm, the profile of the litter will be automatically updated. Also, when the litter pedigree is viewed, you will notice that you can click through to the profiles of the mother and father to view their profiles. A viewable profile is distinguished on a pedigree by the dog's name being underlined.

Q. What is the "my feedback?section in the member centre after I have logged in?

A. We felt it was important that our members feel comfortable in dealing with other members through the site which is why we developed the feedback system. Once a transaction between two parties is complete, the owner of the dog or litter may request feedback from the enquirer. The enquirer is notified by email that the dog or litter owner wishes them to leave feedback. The enquirer may enter a rating (good, average or poor) along with some brief text and submit it to the owners profile. Once feedback has been received, the owner may then leave feedback for the enquirer. The average feedback rating is then shown against each registered member as a series of up to three "paws?next to their name on all of their dog and litter profiles.

Q. Why is there a small transparent rosette in the series of control icons next to my dog in the member centre?

A. The rosette is an icon that once clicked on, takes the dog owner to it's show history journal. If there is no history then "Add a new show result?will be displayed whereby results for that dog may be entered pertaining to a particular show or championship. Once the details are saved away, they can then be reviewed (or added to) at anytime by clicking on the rosette, which is now no longer transparent indicating there is a show history for that dog. As well as being a free value added service for subscribers of the site, the show history feature also adds great credibility to your dogs profile and can be viewed by all visitors to the site.

Q. I cannot seem to login? Why?

A. First of all please ensure you have typed your email address (username) and password correctly and that CAPS lock is not on, on your keyboard. You may use the forgotten password facility located on our login page which will send your password to your registered email address should it be required. If you are still experiencing problems whilst logging into the site then please contact support and list any and all error messages you have recieved whilst attempting to log in. This information is crucial in helping us investigate the issue.
